Hello everyone, I realize there have been similar posts relating to abrasion resistant alloys, but I'm wondering if any of you have specifically used Tri-braze and have any hints/suggestions for working with this material. I went to the TRICON website and they basically made a suggestion to use AWS 5.5 for selecting a filler. I am making an assumption(scary I know) that this is suggesting an E8018 electrode? any thoughts from those of you out there to add/subtract from this suggestion? These are for welds that are structural in nature and not directly subjected to abrasion, this is also on a 1/4" thick material and welding the Tri-braze to an A-36 sub-structure. Thanks in advance for any input. Best regards, Allan

Hello Allan,

even though I cannot make a statement on your actual question (I have never heard before of TRI-BRAZE :-))

This is very interesting website you have mentioned within your post!

Really, very interesting technologies!

Thanks and best regards,
Stephan
