Hello,

I am thinking about moving to the US...

I am: Ignorant, biased and alot of other things. I dont have any education(I have been advised to get one)
I have been certified according to BS 287 in 6G position, do you think I have even a small chance of passing the very hard and almost impossible ASME welding requirements?

KTHXBYE

3.1,
Come on over. Start with the Dallas/Fort Worth area, give me a shout when you get here. :-)

As far as passing the required tests, you can do anything you put your mind to.

Good luck in your venture,

3.1,
For sure. I could even put you to work in the fab shop. You would LOVE it here. :-)

Go to "Saltgrass" they have, IMHO some of the best steaks and service around.

If you consider yourself so much better than us then why don't you be a man about it. Have some conviction. Turn in your API cert to start with. After stating what you have, you look silly striving for certifications from an American organization. Why not obtain those certs from an organization in your great country. I'm sure that your great country has a welding society of some sort and a welding forum. Why not frequent it? It must be way ahead of this old thing.

Hulk Hogan,

I am not striving for American certifications - its a requirement from my employer.
I most certanly have qualifications from EWF/IIW
