Just got a job that is testing on 2" and 3" haven't ever tested on such small pipe.  The company is supplying, it is 5p bead and HYPI all the way out.  First off what size rod would they most likely give me.  I would be comfortable with 3/32 on the 2"  but is it likely they will give rod that small or will they want me to test with 1/8 on the 2".  Secondly, how does HYPI rod run in comparison too 5P+.  Is it hotter, coolder, about the same,  Faster, slower, stuff like that.  Any help would be apriciated.  Not used to pipe this small. THanks

more than likely they will give you 1/8 5p. if they do alot of 2 inch they should have some 3/32 around. in my opinion the hyp runs colder it will stack alot better than the 5p

hey man, well hopefully they will just have u use 1/8 inch 5p, but if ur comfortable using 5/32 id use 5/32 hypi once u get pasted the hot....so whats the company ur goin to work for??

Northwinds,  The line is like 12" and 16".  I don't know why they are testing on such small pipe but it can't be that hard.  I prefer big inch pipe because thats what I am used too,  I will just have to give it a go! The worst that could happen in I bust out and go somewhere with a test I am more familiar with.
