Trying to find contacts and experiences in the industry regarding wire placement repeatability in robotic applications. Since the AWS spec 5.18 does not cover tolerances for cast and helix on "special wound" or "straight" wire, how can persons responsible for maintaining welding hold industry suppliers responsible for a reliable product? I have ideas on testing wire placement on the shop floor which is the ultimate goal in our robotic applications. Any additional ideas or recommendations are welcome.
