My 79 was running like crap this afternoon so I changed the fuel filter, and plugs one at a time, and cleaned the pionts. Now it wont start. Need help.

crap in carb?
magnito/distibuter?moisture?
do you have spark?
if you have spark then its fuel related.
i know this is obvious but sometimes it gets missed. when all else fails rebuild the carb only takes a couple of hours and really improves the fuel economy and overall performance.

i have a 79 also, if you get any and i mean any moisture in the cap it either want start or will fire and sounds likes like the head is about to fly off (bad popping and untimed fireing). if you dont have a filler guage to check the pionts a dollar bill is pretty dam close, it will run fine set with a dollar.  id bet a dollar to a donut that its either moisture or you didnt get the points set back, wd40 is the trick for moisture
