Would like some feedback on training programs out there.
1) what ages do you teach
2) what curriculum do you use
3) do you certify welders
4) what certification do you offer
5) what testing procedures do you use
6) are you associated with any organizations (AWS, Union, etc...)

Its' just interesting to see what others are doing.

question 1. 15-20 vocationaly 18-80 community college
question 2. hobart videos and work books on vocational level
and Modern Welding Technology text on community college level
question 3. only through industry only outside of work.
question 4. none
question 5. Guided bend tests and etch tests spelled out in AWS. D1.1

1. We teach people from 18 to 65.
2. We have developed our own curriculum.
3. Yes, to ASME and in house, and State of Wis. Structural Steel Code.
4. Visual, Macro etching, fracture testing, side, face and
root, and side bends, and limited Radiography.
5. I am a member in good standing with Boilermaker's Local 107 (15
years, Boilermaker's NTL 9 years, and Boilermaker's Local 647 5 years,)
and AWS since 1999.
