Back in 1986, I worked in Texas and the NDE Technician I worked with had a manual UT unit with printing capabilities.  I cannot find this type unit available today ~ I know TOFT and phased array have such capabilities but can anyone give some input?  Manufacturer, Model  numbers would be fantastic!!!  Thanks in advance!!

jon,
My Krautkramer USN 50 and 58 can capture a screen and print it. Is this what you are questioning about?

John, I'm hoping to print an entire pipe joint 10" diameter with a wall thickness of greater than 2"!!!

IF your talking about thickness readings there are a pile of them with that capability. DMS 2, etc. The question is, is it t readings or shear data?

Looking for shear wave units.

I'm sure the Sonatest Sitescan scopes I use will print... Most likely need special software, mine have the RS232 plugs right on top.  It's possible the print feature might only be for the data logger too.  It's so easy to take a digital shot of the screen, and of the joint, I have never tried the print function.

Thirdeye,    the data logger function on the Sonatest is more of a sample/hold presentation that can be down loaded to a laptop. It's good for a record if your comparing signal responses. I think what he is looking for is a continuous scanning record. In order to do that with the KBI machine he has, I think he needs to link the analoge output to the input of a thermal chart recorder. With the older KBI 6000 series this was nothing more than an RG58 BNC-BNC cable connection on the back of the machine to an external chart recorder. Might try talking to one of the guys at R.L Holiday company, they are a Krautkramer distibutor & service center and you should be able to find them online. I'm sure they would know how to set it up.

I know the Krautkrammer phased array unit will do it realtime...I saw one in action before they were available to the public. Neat gizmo for sure.
