Dear All,

I have some doubts regarding AWS D1.1 specified butt weld WPS in any thickness qualified PJP in all thickness and diameter.
If project specification does not specially address the range of thickness qualified and stated referring to AWS D1.1.
Can I weld 140mm thick plate with 50mm depth PJP weld using WPS qualified with 20mm thick CJP coupon according to AWS D1.1?
If the preheat and interpass used for 20mm thick plate CJP qualification are applicable to 140mm plate (about 130degree C preheat and 250 degree C interpass)

Is there any clause in AWS D1.1 does limit the range of qualification for abovementioned case?
