I figured I'd toss out a couple images of some of the projects we have going on here.  Enjoy.

1.  A C-130 Maintenance Stand, all assembled and being made ready to ship.
2.  Got crack, anyone?  This is a joint on a propeller dolly.  The joint failed when it was stressed beyond design load and safety margin.  Nice.  This unit is some 10 years old.
3.  Truss weldment for a component of a C-130 maintenance stand.
4.  Another stand, all packed and ready to go on the trucks.
5.  I really wish we had a crane.  It gives me a headache when they turn these big decks.
6.  (On the right) The opposite truss weldment.  TYK much? :)

Nice Nice Nice!!

I love that stuff.  Is that aluminum?  I noticed they are sharp cornered tubes - are they 6061-T6?
If you're not there already, you should go to the AWS Forum.

See you there.

Yes, it's 6061-T6.

San Antonio.  I don't think it was ours.  Might have been, but not if it was just delivered recently.

Are you guys looking for a good certified aluminum welder who is out of work? If so give me a ring @ 830-385-2102 ... I'm fixin' to have to take off to WY to work. I haven't been able to find anything stable in the central texas area. I live in the burnet/marble falls area so san antone ain't a far commute for me. I've got 19 years exp. so I might catch on quick. ha ha

Pypliner I PM'd you.

Shad, yeah it is a small world.  I'm amazed every time I run into someone I served with, especially here since I did almost all my service on the west coast.  I got a guy here at the local airgas shop who I served with on my 1st ship in San Diego in the 80s.  Unreal.
