I have a customer in the Boiler Mfg industry that has asked if there was a flux cored stainless stick electrode available. He said he used this while in the nuclear field about 20 years ago. Lincoln Electric said they quit making it about 25 years ago. I've also checked with some other speacilty alloy companies with little success.

We've used stainless flux core electrode from ESAB, but it was FCAW process, not stick. Are you sure it was flux-cored stick rod?

Stoody used to make a cored stainless steel electrode that was packed in aluminum foil pouches but I do not think they make it any more.
