I have been getting conflicting information on the need to stress relieve C103 to C103 electron beam welds. The materials engineers at our company say do it or there would be hydride formation and embittlement over many years due to the hydrogen content in the material migrating. The manufacturer says we don't need to do it. Any experts here know the answer and any government documentation? We are seriously trying to reduce costs.
