Good day to all,

I just want to ask what is ASTM equivalent steel, zinc plated, yellow chromated, what should be the possible filler or electrode for this material?

I will highly appreciate your response on this matter.

Thank you!!!

Ritz,

If I am understanding you correctly, both of these are coating processes applied to steel of any kind either before or after (usually after) fabrication.  If the fabrication makes the part too large to properly coat after then small sections are treated then touch up down with 'cold galv' or similar to treat any areas compromised by welding which would burn the coating off.

There is to steel equivalent.  Any steel can be treated with these processes.  I hope this answers your question.

Have a Great Day,  Brent
