Can you use an ASME P1 Grp2 weld procedure to weld an AWS Group II material?

What are the differences between ASME's and AWS's grouping of materials?

You would have to sit down and compare the materials listed for each ASME P number to see if it is included in an AWS grouping. Without the proper codes at your disposal, you will have to relie on someone doing your homework for you.

In general, a WPS qualified to ASME Section IX does not meet AWS D1.1 or D1.2, D1.5, or D1.6 because ASME does not require NDT before performing the mechanical tests and the visual acceptance criteria of ASME Section IX is not as stringent as AWS.
