Looking for a report or a study done on the on piping joint configuration done for seismec concerns. We are installing a 48" water line and currently are using bell and spiget. Is there any technical information of a better joint configeration? Your help is appreciated.

Try ASME B31.9 if this is a building service line. It has the usual provisions for expansion/contraction, shock, thrust and what not. Not sure if this code contains seismic criteria.

Need more info...

Take a look at the answer I've just posted on the Technical section of this same BBS site.
