I made some spacers for my H&M 3-8 beveler so that it will now do 2 and 2 1/2. it cost me like 10 bucks... which is much better than $950 for the 2-4. it needs a 2 7/8 space for the 2 1/2 and a 3 1/8 for the 2".

Actually guys, I found on the Mathey Dearman site a formula given to figure the length for  odd length spacer. Also had some 5" sch.160 to cut and that saved my bacon that job. It'll take some digging around the site, but its there. That's a neat idea with the bolts but is the torch barrel long enough to reach the 2"?

Formula for beveler dog length: Inside dia. of saddle minus outside dia. of pipe divided by 2.  That is according Mathey Dearman, haven't proved it for myself.

do you measure the id of the saddle from side of gear to the other or down from the bott0om of the saddle to the point of the gear on the bottom
