We qualified a welding procedure using an AWS SFA A5.29 FCAW wire E81T1-Ni1H4 to -50 degrees F on the impacts. The AWS Classification SFA 5.29 has a minimum specified CVN of 20 ft/lbs at -20 degrees F. Since the FCAW wire was qualified/tested at -50 degree F, is this wire good to use on -50 F requirement even if the specification says that the minimum values of that classification are 20 ft/lbs at -20 F? Hope to hear any information soon and thanks in advance for your help.
Regards...
