those model cars are only worth the amount you or the buyer wants to sell or spend.  what scale are they?
Parent - - By raftergwelding (*****) Date 02-10-2009 19:01
these arent models they are metal cars and the are about 4-5inches long as for the scale i dont know i'm not a collector these have the motor in them and the under carriage they really are very well made and lots of detail if i remember right the front suspension even moves
Parent - - By lonestarwelder7 (**) Date 02-11-2009 13:18
Well i collect them, and they are molded to details from the cars they win, drive, crash, or test in, metal or not. On all my boxes and on the bottom of the car it says "model diecast car" I may be interested in them if they are 1:24. also need to know the maker of the cars.

They seem to be 1:18th scale.

this is all i could find on them (5th or 6th question down). i will look more later, but if they were made by action these may be them at 1:64 scale.

well that seems to be the set i have being he said there were only 10,000 sets made gues thats what drives the price in the dirt oh well thanks for your help. How is the scale determined. Could you explain this to me please
Parent - By jrw159 (*****) Date 02-12-2009 16:21
OK, I am by no means an expert in this area, but here is what I THINK I know about scale. 1/64 scale is about the size of a matchbox car, 1/32 is approximatly 6 inches long depending on the make and model of car. Replicas can be manufactured in a variety of scales ranging (not limited) from 1/64 to 1/12. Scale is just as it sounds, the 1/32 scale is 1/32 the size of the original.

Yours appear to be 1/32 scale.

Disclaimer: Notice I capitalized the word THINK! LOL

viewing a 1:24 car from a foot away, it will be as if seeing the full size vehicle from 24 feet away.
the monte carlo in the bush series was about 200 inches long (give or take) divide that by the length of your cars and that will get you close to the scale (depending on the maker of the car).
the scale of your cars should be on the tin and the cars, along with the makers name.(action, winners circle, hot wheels, etc.)
1/18 will be around 11-12 inches long...at about 200.00 each
1/24 7-9" 70-100.00 each
when i get home monday i 'll try to take some pics. of some of my 1/24
maybe that will help
here is a pic of some scale cars that i found online.

The first link that I sent which you say is the car that you have indicates they are 1:18th scale.  Thats my story and I am sticking to it. :)
Parent - - By raftergwelding (*****) Date 02-12-2009 22:34
THE cars i have are about 6-8'' long so i guess they are 1;24 i do have a set of dale earnhardt sr that are hot wheel version so i'll jus call them micros lol

i wonder why in the link johnny found the cars sell for 130 new but in the 1 you found the whole set in the tin box is only worth 50-75 makes no sense
Parent - - By jrw159 (*****) Date 02-17-2009 16:47
Shad,
I would venture to say that it has to do with the scale. The link Johhny posted was for the 1/18 scale car, and the one Lonestar posted concerned 1/64 scale car.

jrw159 :-)
