There's a thread in this forum somewhere that mentioned cutting the nosecone down.  I don't own a 200, so I can't offer much else input.

you can take the nose cone off and put a plastic faceshield over the top
i have a 63 sa 200 and the radiator shroud stuck out about 1'' past the back of the machine
just took a zip disc  cut all the way around slide it back in and tack it in a few places
thats the way i did mine before i had the money to build my first bed

im pretty sure it will hit your fender well in short bed

I was gonna try it in my 2500 SWB dodge and decided against it ... lots of cuttin' and beatin' was needed. The fender wells was needing notched about 12" and the bed rails were a little narrow. I opted to buy another truck to rig out . JMO

I agree. You can do it with a long bed fine but it will hit your fenderwell in your short bed. My buddy was lookin to put his vantage in his shortbed and was having the same issues. I guess that you could try to make something that would pick the machine up to where it'd fot over the wells but then you'd prolly have to notch out your bed rails for the armature to fit. Longways is gonna be your best bet in my opinion.

you're goning to have to cut a hole for the exciter housing to fit in you cant just take the exciter cover off the newer style gm trucks are not as wie as the older 1's even in the older 1's a hole was necessary not to m ention the width of the machine will hit the fender wells and that is another problem just gonna have to make do with what you have or get a flat bed or just get another truck i have an 04 dodge 3500 that is tubbed out and i had to take the exciter cover off and it gave me about a 1/2 an inch of clearance the dodge is 2 1/2 inches wider than a gm truck
