Looking for solutions to control root closure on a seamer  MIG MAG Process 6ยด 3/16" 5/16" Plate Stainless and carbon steels .

what is your tack procedure? are you doing sequential tacking down the joint or skipping around?  what is the joint detail/

we do skip tacking and presetting for stianless steel. Due to thermal expansion it's needed or it will close up.
