I was reading the test details for the AWS piping test "F2" (AWS QC7-93 supplement F) which includes a requirement for thermal cutting of coupons prior to welding. I was wondering if anybody has taken this test before, or knew if torch guides are allowed? Are we expected to do it free hand?
