hey guys hows it going i got  another problem im welding 6 inch schedule 40 pipe using 6010 root and 3/32 7018 out im in the 6 g position . i know you guys are master welders so any tips would be awesome i can seem to lay the root in perfect it seems like im haveing a little undercut . im running a 1/8 gap with a 1/8 face at 85 amps and tying into my tacks do you guys feather your edges are do you grind the whole tack and try to burn through the whole tack . what gap and face do you guys perfer what amps do you perfer .
when your whipping do you stop at the face of the keyhole are do you bring it a hair back for a second to fill im new to welding so please no jokes i really want to be a good pipe welder thank you
