Well I finally bit the bullet and made a purchase. Its a 1990 if I decoded it correctly at Bills Welder Repair site. SAE 350, 3 cylinder Deutz aircooled diesel. This thing welds awesome! And what surprised me the most about the machine is that it barely idles up when I strike an arc. Really quite, although when It was cold this morning it was a little rattlie but once she warmed up she smoothed right out. Oh yeah I picked it up for 1200 bucks. And does anyone know the approximate weight of it? We picked it up off the trailer with an 853 Bobcat and had the rear tires off the ground!! lol Any way enough rambling and on to the pictures.

Where did you get that machine Tamper? Wouldn't happen to have come from PA near Evans City would it?

Nope he still has that one. It runs but no power at the leads or the ac. And its pretty rough. Man I guess there are more people around me then what I thought..lol.

I knew about the machines and know Cayhall the guy who sold it. His brothers were pipeliners out of 798.

ooo so these machines where used on the pipelines? I know his nephew showed up and he is a pipeliner and we talked about that a good bit. He was supposed to call me but so far hasnt.
