On occasion we sub jobs and on occasion the sub (one in particular) will use an equivalent material vs what is spec'd. Most jobs we give this sub are small and the same engineer. This engineer is generally is very understanding about this. We recently had them ask to use CSA 44W/300W, this is an equivalent to A572. The question I have is that this is a grade 44, one that A572 is not available in. Our specs have no grade requirement. I was wondering if anyone has been in this situation. Is it considered an equivalent given the grade question?
