Electron Beam Standard?

I have an old drawing calling for an electron beam weld per AMS 2681.

I can not find AMS 2681 anywhere on the web, not even on the AMS International web site.

However, I do find the standard named AWS C7.1M/C7.1:2004, Recommended Practices for Electron Beam Welding.

Can anyone answer the following:

1. Does AMS 2681 still exist?

2. If so, where can I find it? (If not, when did it die?)

3. Did AWS C7.1M/C7.1:2004 replace AMS 2681?

I have heard of it in my past, but it was so long ago I have forgotten where or when.

I would try searching at the IHS documents website or calling them. If it is active and for sale they would be able to sell you a copy. If it is obsolete, they would be able to tell you what has replaced it. Sometimes they even have obsolete documents too.

I remember where I saw it now. It was back in 1993 when I was working on some parts for Space Station Freedom. Our portion of the contract got cancelled before I did the work, so I did not get to use it. I think NASA specified it though.
