Has anyone had any experience with ISO 5817. We are bidding a job requiring ISO 5817 application. My impression is D1.1 acceptance levels are the same but the terminology is different. For example the 5817 has B, C and D levels of acceptance and D1.1 has clause 6 inspection criteria. Am I wrong to say D1.1 criteria meets the ISO 5817 criteria?

100perpen,
ISO 5817 is "Quality levels for imperfections in fusion welded joints in steel, nickel, titanium and their alloys."
That is a lot different to a structural steel code.
The only way you will find out is to compare the acceptance criteria from both codes.
Regards,
Shane

Thank you Shane.
I am in the process of acquiring the ISO standard for comparison.
