Has anyone experienced hot cracking of Alloy 625 weld deposits produced by the submerged arc process?  Is the susceptibility of Alloy 625 filler wire submerged arc welds sensitive to hot cracking based on the composition of the wire?  In other words can the composition  of Alloy 625 weld wire for the SAW process result in hot cracking.  If so what elements in the wire would render the wire susceptibleto hot cracking?

Niobium in Inconel 625 forms a low melting temperature eutectic Laves phase along grain boundaries.
A google search should give you plenty to read.
