That's right, May 1st. I forgot, I was getting ready for May 5th. I don't know what beer to drink for May Day anyways. Maybe next year. :-)

All Texans, Tejanos and Texicans should celebrate this day with the people of Mexico. The general who won the battle. Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín was a Texan born in la Bahía del Espíritu Santo now Goliad Texas.
The Mexican army was not expected to even stay on the field. The Battle of Puebla is a fascinating battle to study if one is into that sort of thing as I am. Also Cinco de Mayo is NOT a federal holiday in Mexico.
