I finally found an old shorthood, actually within my price range!!! Going to get it tomorrow. Has not run in years, missing the side panels but otherwise complete. I have not found to much information specific to the 1951 model on my yahoo/google search. Not really sure what I'll get into but can't beat the price. If anyone out here in the vast internet world has some basic info on a 51' let me know if you could. I'm gonna check out Bill's site and see or maybe even email them.
Thanks,

Shawn

You can go to Lincolns site and enter the code number or model number to find the manuals that apply to yours and download those no charge.  If no upgrades or modifications yet the code number will tell you what you need.   Bill's has links to a bunch of the manuals too and parts listed.  For the Continental engine you can get some manuals off Wisconsin Motors under parts catalogs will want the L Head manuals for flat head the others listed there are for overhead valve engines.
