You need a generator that can handle a 22 amp inductive load. Note that most portable generators are rated for a resistive load, so a 5 KW generator may not run the machine properly, You might need a larger one.

The battery requirements to run this welder from an inverter are pretty severe, I wouldn't go that way.

sounds to me like you should return your 211 for an engine drive. do you have to run wire in the field or is it a personal choice? Wire is fast, but it seems like your putting the cart before the horse, electric welder vs. power supply...

If You want to run wire in the field, Miller does make a small engine drive CV machine for field MIG welding, it might suit Your needs better. I wouldn't expect real good performance from any machine on 120 volts, just not a lot of power to work with.
