SAW procedures for what?
The source of your SAW procedures is your qualification.
Or, you can prequal, or purchase standardized WPS's. See AWS, and/or a manufacturers web site for 'suggested' parameters.
This may sound gruff but If you do not know what you are doing a WPS is NOT going to help.
You need to engineer and understand your welding process.
And you need skilled welding operators that can take that piece of paper and make it mean something.
If you have skilled WO's develope your own PQR.

The Lincoln Electric "Procedure Handbook for Arc Welding" would be a good place to start.

Chet,
Excellent answer. I have that book. Have read it. Have used it. But for some reason I keep forgetting about it. Great fundamentals.

I think any of us would be glad to answer any question, but such a general question is hard to answer.  SAW is simple if you know all the vairables.  Ask away  JG
