Dear Friends
I want to  weld S355J2G3 x S355J2G3 using SMAW PQR qualified with EH36 x 25.4mm Steel. Class Surveyor dont want to accept sighting S355J2GE not listed in AWS D1.1 In my opinion No code can cover all materials manufacured at global level.
As for me Base Material shall have comparable TS & YS value
AWS D1.1 Table 3.1 Steel Spec Group II -A633 has very close Yield & Tensile Value to S355J2G3 and so does EH36
