Morning folks.
Second pot of coffee is on, come on in and grab a cup.
Clean cups in the cabinet to the left of the sink, sugar in the dish by the microwave.
Help yourself, last one to empty the pot, start another please....I need to keep my caffine IV on a fast drip today.

Morning buddy! Speaking of coffee, I have to hunt down the person here who has been making the first pot. They are using about 50 scoops per pot!! Now I like strong "cowboy" coffee, you know the kind you can stand a spoon up in. Heck, I can not even get a spoon to the bottom of the cup with this stuff. 1 cup and I am wired out. :-)

Sounds like you have a busy day ahead of you.

I stop every morning and get a 24 oz "Campfire Coffee" and 2 shots of caffeinated creamer 2 tsp of sugar, by the time I leave the parking lot I'm dancing in the drivers seat.

if there wasn't coffee.....what would be the sense of carrying on!!!!??!
coffee is responsible for the stopping of more senseless acts of violence than common sense

Good Morning John!

I haven't had my coffee yet because I'm not in the need for it as of yet. ;) Btw, I drink "AVGAS" Bustello brand coffee because that other stuff, no matter how much I put into the pot taste like it's been watered down!!! Medaglia de Oro, and Pilon are also good brands of coffee that don't turn your wallet into a black hole from the prices...

Come to think about it, just the thought of the good stuff is making me crave for some as I write!!! I'll be right back! :) :) :)

Respectfully,
Henry

Hey John!

Where is Reston, VA??? Is that anywhere near your neck of the woods??? ;)

I ask this because there's a whole bunch of "Hootin and Hollerin" over their Town Hall meeting being reported on the news this morning!!!
Them folks are mad as heck!!! And I don't blame them one bit!!! ;)

Respectfully,
Henry
Parent - - By jwright650 (*****) Date 08-26-2009 15:49
Reston is not very close by, but Watch Out!...Rustburg is right down the road and there is a meeting set up there soon with Tom Perriello.

Parent - - By RonG (****) Date 08-27-2009 15:22
John, you need to slow down on the coffee :-) like me :-( . Its rough on the ticker so they (Cardiologist) tell me.

Did you know there are to kinds (types) of Cardiologist? Plumbers and Electricians!!!

The 1st is the one we normally think of, the Electrician fixes the electric signals of the heart that control the rhythm.

You’ll learn more about it as the amount of coffee takes its toll.

I am just making conversation at the coffee pot. I don’t know if I believe them or not but I know I don’t want to try to make it through the day with out my coffee. I have come to the conclusion that if I follow all the Doctors advice I have a terrific chance of dyeing quite healthy.

Hope you all have a great day- I’ll be leaving early today—got an appointment with the Cardiologist.
Parent - - By FixaLinc (****) Date 08-27-2009 15:52
Morning!  It's probably more the smoking goes with coffee for many going to get your ticker first but some are going to enjoy their smokes regardless of what anyone tells them.  More new studies have shown coffee has antioxidants that prevent heart disease and cancers so I'm going to keep on drinking my coffee black sometimes with some sugar, yeah the sugar is bad too :)   I like to read those 2nd opinions.

I am a coffee snob . . . I admit it. My favorite is probably Yaucono, Puerto Rican coffee. Its not that expensive from cafeyaucono.com, but lately they have been lax on the charging of the credit card (last time it took 2 weeks) and it takes them 2 to 3 weeks to get it shipped. It never used to be that way, but the last 3 times I've ordered 5 pounds its been pretty slow.

I also regularly order from Coffee Bean Direct, and they have a great selection and are very fast at shipping. The coffee is roasted and shipped the same day, so you have to let it degas a little before vacuum sealing it otherwise the gasses get trapped inside the vacuum bag.

Check out Yaucono though, the price for 5 pounds works out to less than 10 dollars a pound shipped.

Oh, and I grind the beans myself - thought about roasting it as well, but haven't made the jump yet.

TGIF - 2 more hours to go . . .
