Here's the Cash for Clunkers program in depth, and it really shows how much of a choice one has if they decide to get in on this MALE COW EXCREMENT from our fearless leaders!
Notice how many cars on this list deemed "Qualified Replacement" are NOT GM or Chrysler vehicles!!! This was supposed to not only help the environment, and we all know how that turned out to be just some more MALE COW EXCREMENT but then, this program is designed to replace most of the clunkers with vehicles mostly foreign based car brands instead!!! Even though some of these models are made domestically, they are still foreign owned manufacturers so the money flows out of the country's economy as a result!!!

Cash For Clunkers - Cars & Wagons
by Vehix.com Wednesday, July 22, 2009

The cars and wagons on our list meet the following eligibility requirements for the “Cash for Clunkers” program:

* An average combined fuel economy of 18 MPG or less
* An average trade-in value of less than $3,500 - $4,500 (NOTE: vehicle values can vary dramatically due to condition, mileage, style and trim. You can confirm used vehicle values according to NADA Guides)

We’ve also included qualifying vehicles that meet the “Cash for Clunkers” requirements that you might consider as a replacement. The vehicles were selected from our list of Top 10 Greenest Vehicles of 2009 that details the MPG and EPA SmartWay rating for each vehicle. This list is not exhaustive and does not represent all eligible vehicles but should help you look for a replacement ride.

New replacement vehicles with mileage of at least 22 mpg are eligible for vouchers. If the mileage of the new car is at least 4 mpg higher than the old vehicle, the voucher is worth $3,500. If the mileage of the new car is at least 10 mpg higher than the old vehicle, the voucher is worth $4,500.

Finally, here's the lead story for this friggin huge pile of MALE COW EXCREMENT!!!:

http://comcast.vehix.com/articles/cash-for-clunkers/government-announces-cash-for-clunkers/

The part that really gets me riled up is the fact that this programs bases the mileage estimates of your trade in from EPA rating of your trade in when it was new, and NOT in it's current condition!!! So, that in itself shows how rotten the program is... For example; My car is a 2003 Chevy Impala with 80,000 miles on it so far... It seems so out of touch to think that this car still gets the same EPA's mileage estimate that it started with when it had ZERO miles on it because, I  already checked my records, and the differences over the entire period of ownership even with regular maintenance is significan enough to have my vehicle qualify according to their rules and the current MPG's my vehicle gives me as of yesterday afternoon when I went over the numbers!!!

So if you rush to these dealerships who are still offering this poor excuse for a government program, all I've got say is BUYER BEWARE, AND EXPECT TO BE DISAPPOINTED AFTER ALL IS SAID AND DONE!!!

Henry

Henry,
Almost an information overload, at least for me as my car didnt make the CFC list. Ford should have taken the bailout then at least they would have been honestly rated.
The info sort of comes across as selling more imports than American made. Is it on the order of a Bailout for forien car makers? Last fall you could have walked into most dealers and bought these cars without trade ins for very close to the same money as sales were in the crapper. I havent seen the exact figures on the percentage of rejected deals by the agency of choice. Imagine in ten years a congressional hearing on the under table payoffs associated with this turd. That will only cost $10 Billion

Click your heals and ask for financial forgiveness, I wanted a blue one.

And the worst part about it is the fact that they've got the Dealers in the lurch for the reimbursements which the Government promised to reach them in a timely manner!!!

So for example; In the Greater New York metro area, half of the dealers participating in the "CARS" otherwise known as the cash for clunkers program have already pulled out of the program since two weeks ago because, they still have not been reimbursed for the cars they already sold during the first half of the program!!!

Imagine how many more regions are having the same type of reaction from their dealerships as a response to this miserable failure of a program which the administration, Pelosi and her cronies, and some rather ignorant Senators proclaim as being one of the most successful government run programs to date???

Man! If we could just use all of that male cow excrement waste gas coming from these elected officials to power new electric power generating facilities, we could bring down the price of energy production substantially in this country - of course however, you do know that I'm just being "fecesious" here when I describe the true success of the "CARS" program!!!

I mean. I already have my waders on yet, I think I'm gonna have to get one of those liquid waste recycling systems from "MagneGas" in order to stem the tide of this never ending as well as consistently rising river of liquid waste products that is originating from Washington D.C.and eventually intruding into our daily lives as citizens of this great nation in which we choose to live in!!! You've heard the saying: "Come H@ll or High Water" right??? Well now, "the high water" is becoming so high that Dwayne is soon gonna have to be spending most of his time rescuing all of the folks near him who are being flooded with all of this liquid male cow excrement waste that's been spewing out of D.C.lately!!! :) :) :) (No Offense Dwayne! ;) ) And I'm gonna have to build a bigger bass boat of my own in order to do the same!!! ;) ;) ;) Come to think about it, I could get rich by supplying the fuel gas products generated from one of those rcycling systems from "MagneGas!!!"
YIPPIE - KYE - YAY - HO!!! :) :) :)  WOOO HOOO!!! ;)
