I'd go with the Tidwelds. Hands I know swear by them an will never git rid of em. They say to allow 12"x16" to mount their normal reels that hold 125' of 3/16. Sure he can do somethin custom for the 3/8" tho.

Have you checked with Hannay? I got some catalogs from them look pretty good but won't fit into my budget.

Here's a link to their site,

Hannay has made fire hose reels for centuries but I've never been around their gas reels.

I don't have A torch reel, but I hear the Tidwells are the real deal.
Or you could check out Alumireel. I have their cable reels.

I would go with a Cox, I have them and they are pretty good. I also have the lead reels and they are the $hit. Nothing like rolling up in a few ..   Time is money!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks like I will go with Cox. I cant get Tidwell to answer the Phone or an Email

tidwell must have to much money if they don't need to answer the phone....

Tidwell's reels are almost a work of art. Gerald is a working welder so he makes them as he has time. Usually his wife mans the phone when he's out.
I'm really happy with my set, I had to wait a couple of weeks for them to be built but it's worth it to me. He also has a waiting list most of the time.

If you want the best looking most solid go with tidweld. I have a cox and a tidweld, they both do the job but the tidweld is way nicer. The cox has a cheap mass-produced feel to it. Mr Tidwell is a good guy too, I talked to him for a half hour about jobs and the work in my area- He's a welder and wants to know what other welders are doing. You will have to wait a little, it took about two months for my 110v reel to come.He also custom did my 110v reel (I cant remember what right now) to fit my truck.

Sounds like the wendy's pancake. Waited six weeks for mine, well worth it. Those Tidwelds look slick as heck......WAaaaayyyy out of my price range though. Very nice work from the pics though.

That would explain it. Got my phone turned on the loudest most annoying ring it has and still can't hear that sucker half the time.
