Your tax dollars at work???

THEY CAN'T READ THE BILLS THEY VOTE ON BUT THEY CAN PLAY SOLITAIRE AND CHECK BALL SCORES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing else need to be said.  This is one of their THREE DAY WORK WEEKS that we all pay for.  I am ready to start from the beginning by voting out all elected officials and not letting any of them stay in office for more than two terms.  No more lifelong healthcare, retirement, voting in their own pay raises, taking perks on our taxes, etc.

House Minority Leader  Lawrence F. Cafero Jr., R-Norwalk, pictured standing, far  right, speaks while colleagues Rep. Barbara Lambert,  D-Milford and Rep. Jack F. Hennessy, D-Bridgeport, play solitaire Monday night as the House convened to vote on a  new budget. (AP)

The guy sitting in the row in front of these two...  he's on Facebook, and the guy behind Hennessy is checking out the baseball scores.

These are the folks that can't get the budget out by Oct. 1,  Seriously!!!

So, we've got a 30 day budget extension. Well, guess what, 30 days from now we will be in the same boat. I guess this makes it easy for the news reporters as all they have to do is recycle the same headlines from this week and from 2 years ago. And these yo-yos will still be playing SOLITAIRE!!!

I'm all for term limits.  But to do that the Constipation.....uh.....Constitution would have to be amended.  But guess who gets to do that, yep Congress.  Would you vote to end your own job.  Nope!!!  Didn't think so.  But they sure as hell set term limits on the President after FDR.

Bryon,
Why cant it be put on a national ballot? Just eliminate the middle man.
Do you really hate being an American or do you just not like much?
If it wasnt for our forefathers we would most likely drink bad warm beer through rotten teeth.

American and not sorry for it

We the people don't get to vote to change the Constitution.  It can only be amended by the Congressmen that we elect.  I don't hate being an American, I see things that need changed just like everyone else.

As far as warm beer, I don't know about warm, but various style are best at different temperatures.  Take my beer of choice, Guiness.  If you drink it ice cold like a crappy lager like Budweiser it loses alot of the flavor from the roasted malt.  While a crappy lager like Budweiser has to be cold or it tastes worse...if thats possible.  :-)

Nearly One Million Americans have given their life for the Constitution that you disparage. Ironically, they gave the ultimate sacrifice that gives YOU the freedom and liberty to say the garbage that you just did.
Do you have an American flag for a rug too???

By the by: A couple of nights ago ESPN Classic showed UNC beat the JHawks in 1981-Worthy, Jordan, Perkins, Daugherty, Black. 1981 National Champions.

Hope you saw it too.

I didn;t realize that a million people died in the Revolutionary War.  That is the only war that Americans died to protect our freedom.  All the others are just land grabs and pi**ing contests.  Although WWII could've easily got out of hand.  But with the logistical impossiblity of America being invaded even WWII is a bit of a stretch.
No I don't have a flag or a rug.  :-)

As far as the 1981 UNC-KU game, no I didn't see it.  But come on Jordan?  He made NC what they were.  We'll see baby, March is just around the corner.  :-)

Not that I don't think that Congress may be doing the same sort of fooling around while supposedly being on the job, but that is NOT a PICTURE of the US CONGRESS IN SESSION!!! ;) ;) ;) ROTFLMFAOAAA!!!!! :) :) :) :) :)
