We recently had an audit, which we passed (whew), but some of the things they looked at, aside from our quality manual, were
-Welder Continuity Log
-Content of Weld inspection reports
-Code books we had on hand.
-WPS,PQR,WPQ we were using.
-Filler metal certs.
-Machine calibrations.
-Filler metal accessibility, our welders are only to have access to filler they are qualified to weld with.
-They also walked through our shop to see for themselves if we were doing what we said we were doing.
We have been fortunate to have auditors willing to work with us in certain areas, it's tough when you get an auditor who's only priority is to
bust your balls.
