There is actually quite a bit of info all over the internet on this material. Its a common PH.
ASM Handbook volume 6 has some good info as well.

hello friend
may be you're right that this steel is common ph, but actually i can't find any paper about weldability of 17-4 or dissimilar welding with another alloy. i want academic paper with experimental result? do you know such document?
title of my MSc thesis is laser or tig welding of 17-4 presumably. for this reason, i looking for prior research about this subject.

Do not hijack this thread! The person works for SEPCO and he should be able to have access to all of the applicable code reference necessary to answer his own query, so just tell him to ask around his office! they have plenty of experience in P-91 piping, so go find someone else to play with! ;)
