I AM WELDING A 36 TO HASTALLOY C-276. WHAT WELDING WIRE CAN I USE? I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO LOCATE ANY INFORMATION IN THE CODE BOOKS RELATING TO THIS TOPIC. CAN ANYONE POINT ME IN THE CORRECT DIRECTION!

Two places I have used in the past for Hastelloy: Haynes International Technical information # 317-456-6264 and Corrosion Materials @ 800-535-8032. I hope this helps.

Also, you might try, Inco Alloys International 800-624-3411. There trade name for C-276, AWS A5.14, class- ERNiCrMo-4, F No. 44 is Inco Filler Metal C-276.

Go to the Carpenter Technologies website at www.cartech.com and look up the product info on C-276. Recommended electrodes for SMAW of C-276 to carbon steel are ENiCrMo-4, or ENiCrMo-10. Bare wire for GTAW or GMAW is ERNiCrMo-4 or ERNiCrMo-10.
