Hello,

I had qualified WPS/PQR as per ASME IX material A 333 Gr6 welding process GTAW + SMAW with 1 time PWHT , in case of product weld  have to cut that joint and re-weld and    re-PWHT , my question is do we need to qualify new WPS/PQR with 2nd time PWHT or not?

Thank you and Base regards,

hannaro

If impact tests are required by project specification or constructing code you would need to qualify a new wps with increase in soak times.  See QW-407.2.

But it is related to the soak time as Jon said, not the number of PWHT's. If your original PWHT soak time was enough to comply with the 80% requirement in ASME IX you do not need to requalify.

I seem to remember T & T being an essential variable from past revisions but am not going to go back researching! ;-)

It's been snowing for 3 days, non-stop, in Kazakhstan, now up to just about 3 feet of snow.  The walk into the office in the morning is a real adventure (about a 3/4 mile walk).... I'm scheduled to go on home leave in one week and its mid - late Summer at home! :)

jon,
T and T is supplementary.

And, remind me not to complain about the snow here.  :)
