Under D1.1, etc. I always believed unless the Contract Doc's (Engr'g) denotes otherwise, one is 'disallowed' from modifying a finished weldment after stress relief. The contract specifies weld profiling after PWHT. As this project's Engr's are unable to detail welds to the A2.4 standard, I'm wondering if they really know what they're doing (ie; 'flat topping' welds after stess relief). Any comments ?
