To clarify, ASME B31.3 is a construction code and NOT a welding code since ASME Section IX is the welding code... Now, in the contract documents and specifications, there would be a list of specifications such as the construction code specification you referenced... Is there a year that goes along with "ASME B31.3" after wards... in other words, is there a year written right after B31.3??? If there isn't, then you will more than likely need to acquire the most recent edition of ASME B31.3...
