if the miles are true buy it. those trucks are really easy to unhook the odometer

That's good mileage for sure. Paid $22k for mine with 68k miles on it. I'd wonder why it only has 30k on it though being it is an 02'. I'd ask some questions about that for sure. The price for mileage sounds great, but like I said, kinda makes you wonder 30k? 02'? Toy hauler? Local farm truck? My buddy has a 97 and probably has about the same mileage, 30-40k just uses it once in awhile around the farm, local to town and such. They're great trucks, only big problem is the lift pump and vp44, they have remedies for those though but at 30k won't have any problems out of those typically. If your close enough to go talk or see it that would be better or if you know someone that could put eyes on it and ask some tough questions. 30k? Just weird to me...

Sorry I missed the post....was on here yesterday and don't know how I missed the name of the thread.

Only two ways I know of to keep that mileage off one. By a dash at wrecking yard and change them out. Buy a computer for your truck and take original out. This used to be done quite often, but if you get caught at it, you won't like the results. It would be highly frowned upon.
Once in A great while I see one with low miles, but that is a little hard to believe.

Firend of mine just bought a 01 reg cab with 12k mile for 9800.00. The old man that owned it got bad off and sold it to him. I could live 5 life times and not find a deal like that.

i made a deal somewhat similar to your friends but it was alot cheaper and it was for a welding bed and 3 bevelers and he threw in a set of pipe line up clamps 100#s of 7018 rod and a case of rotella oil for free. i was asked to not say the price but i feel like a thief lol

cant feel like a thief til i get it in my hands his truck broke down in dumas and they thought it was the timing chain. come to find out (yesterday) after 4 days of being in the shop its the timing chain the valves on the left head and the crank shaft is broke. he was suppose to have his truck back yesterday and be here this morning. he has warranty so they are sticking a new motor in the truck and told him 10 days to get the motor in. they sue dont mechanic like they use to these days. so he went to shreveport to go work ( I dont know where) and will go bacfk for his truck in 10 days. just my luck. if i get the money together some how. i'm going after the trailer myself.
