I have not run the 200d at all, so any one that has been Abel to run both please give any input on weld characteristics. On the 200d is the heat like on a 300d of an sa200g. Any Input on machines. I am not really concerning my self with the ac part of the 300d.

I own a 300D and have welded with a 200D a number of times. I do mostly pipeline welding and I love the way my 300D welds. I dont notice enough difference in the arc between the 300D and 200D to Justify giving up AC power and paying more for the 200. Im not saying the 200 is a bad welder because its not, its a great welder but for me I prefer the 300. I would suggest welding with both and buy what works best for you.

I have a 200D....Most of my work is pipeline work and I like the lower RPM's that the 200D has. The 300D is a good machine but I think the 200D stacks more iron..I do like the AC current of the 300D.
I think you should try them both also....
