- - By kkfabricator (**) Date 05-12-2010 01:41
I have been getting enough side work that now I have started my own company. Some of my clients have asked me if I will build stairs, landings etc... my question is what kind of insurance do I need? Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chuck

General liability at a minimum

Good luck in your new activity!
As you'll have a number of workers working for you, here in Brazil you would need an insurance covering job accidents of your employees.

Be careful to get a good ins. agent and only talk to them . NEVER talk directly to the underwriter or you might wind up with back charges just for being honest. Happened to me $1200.00 they said I exceeded my payroll limit.
