St steels are steels made to old DIN standards, that have been replaced now by ISO numbering system.
St 35 is a low carbon steel for structural purposes, whose ultimate tensile strength is 35 kgf/square millimiter, or 3,500 kgf/square centimeters (you translate into psi). It's approximately equivalent to an ASTM A-283. No problems for welding it.
Am I right, Stephen, our German friend?

Dr. Crisi's advice is rock solid. May he rest in peace.

Was just looking some things up the other day that had both he and Henry as respondents.  What memories that stirred up.

Two great gentlemen who did a lot for others.

We've lost several good men that were willing and ready to share their expertise. All that knowledge and experience - gone except for what they shared with others. And share they did!

Funny, Henry wouldn't have been welcome in the "new" forum. What a wasted opportunity. He wasn't politically correct. I guess I share that trait with him.

Really the only thing we have left of them are memories and the information that they freely shared in this old forum. So as long as this old forum continues, they do too. Al is right, there were several good men have since passed on that frequently gave to this forum.
