I have an New American Optical shade 12 for sale, if any one is interested. It is the Glass 2 piece lens, not the plastic one.
Here is the link on ebay.

No one that calls himself a welder would be dumb enough to pay that much for a lens. The welders I work around are smarter than that.

Sure am glad I bought a couple of these number 12's new off ebay seeing just one go for this much. These are some really nice lenses but philips safety gold lenses are pretty dang close or maybe even the same as the old ao optical, thats what I use now and it's so hard to tell which is better but is nice to know I could sell one of my AO for this much. The philips safety which is made by Scott Glass in Germany is probally just as clean but AO deep deep blue is maybe a little more soothing on the eyes but not much

Do you know where to get a phillips? I checked their website and they are $20. + $8.60 to ship. Dont want to pay over 40% for shipping if you know where a cheaper one is.
Thanks

Just order a bunch of them at once... I just ordered $200 worth of Phillips lenses and shipping was less than $10.

I got in the habit of ordering 3 or so at a time from phillips. I hated when I would drop my number 12 on accident and not have a back-up. There isn't another company that sells the Phillips safety lenses. Trust me it's really worth it. If you stick weld use an 11 if you're eyes are good but if you really need a cheater lense then order a 10. The 10 was way the hell to bright for me plus i have blue eyes that are very sensitive. I use a number 12 at work for mig with a trimix gas and fluxcore, even ordered a 14 when I was on aluminum pulse mig but a 11 or 12 would be fine if I was welding tig. I gave a 11 to a guy I work with and keep threw the old one away and enjoys the number 11 alot. There's less distortion and he finds at the end of the day his eyes don't feel so tired.
