Our June meeting focused on turning the section around from a declining participation rate due to the vast size of our section and the shrinking economy.

We have a diverse membership dispersed across an area roughly 350 miles by 450 miles, the 6th largest state in the union. 

To accomplish this end we are determined to hold meetings in various locations across the state.  The leadership centered in Tucson and Phoenix, where the largest numbers of members are, will continue to hold many meetings in those areas.  But as they are separated by much space from many other cities and communities we need the help of our members in these communities to organize meetings and activities.  Please let us know topic areas of interest and send me your e-mail address so we can communicate in a more economical fashion than trying to send out so many snail mail notices.

We are setting up a web site and have this section to keep our 'local' members informed about section activities.  There are many other directions that we are working on to aid in gaining and keeping the interest of our members and helping them as they seek to gain knowledge and skills in their chosen profession. 

Anyone involved in this forum for long has heard of many advantages of being involved in their local sections.  There is much to be gained in increasing your participation level.   

We will use this section and the under construction website to keep you informed about upcoming meetings and activities.  Please feel free to use it to ask any questions.
