The base material is aluminum 5052,.125 thick and using a 4043 filler rod. The weld symbol is a fillet weld with a grind flat symbol on it. The question is with this joint would the came rules apply for it like you need to penatrate 10% of the material which would be .012. I'm going to try to attach a digram of it.
