Our application would be weld metal composition, identification of bolt material, (there are alot of Chinese bolts out there that arent what they say they are), ID of plate, castings, forgings etc. I figure the right one of these coupled with a good hardness tester will help us out. I'm currently looking at the Innov-X Delta and the Thermo Scientific Niton series. Any suggestions or insight, such as real world capabilities etc, would be greatly appreciated.

Regards, Greg

Call Decisive Testing Inc.  @ 619-285-9006  ask for Mike and tell him that Austin told you to call.  He uses the Innovex system now, and recently bought a new one, not sure of the brand but thats why Im having you call him and not me.  He is a good guy and easy to talk to.  Good luck.

I've used the InnovXsystems model number OSD-2000, though not extensively, but enough to know I'd look at it if I had a need to buyone.
