Up Topic Welding Industry / ASME Codes / ASME Sec. VIII Div. 1, Table UCS-66 (Impact Testing)

Dear all
I have a doubt with ASME Sec. VIII Div. 1 regarding Table UCS-66 (Impact Test Exemption Curves).
If a specific material is not listed under either Curve A/B/C/D materials,
does that mean there is just no exemption at all ?
And my not listed material needs to be impact tested in any case ?
Thanks for any input.

If you are using UCS-66 this means you must be using a carbon steel (or low alloy) type material.
Read Notes (1)(a) and (2)(c).
If the material you are using is acceptable per Section VIII at all, it is covered.

Thanks js55 !
Makes sense what you say. So, with a piping spec. like (S)A-335, I would actually, because of Note 2 (b and/or c), end up in Curve B and Fig./Tab. UCS-66 for the details.
I understood.
Best regards !
